About

Hosts Karen Scott Greene and Catherine "Cat" Hardrick met on the campaign trail in Gwinnett County, Georgia.  Karen was running for Gwinnett County Superior Court Judge and Cat was seeking office as a member of the Snellville City Council.  The two met at a campaign event and soon realized that they had a lot in common and a lot to say.  Their conversations would often last for hours as the two talked about everything from politics, education, community engagement and social empowerment.  Along the way, they met some really great people.  After their campaigns were over, they wanted to keep the conversations going.  That is how the idea of Conversations with Karen and Cat was born.

Karen is a wife, mother, grandmother and lawyer.  She was born and raised in South Florida and has called Georgia home for nearly thirty years.  She is proud graduate of Georgia Tech and St. Thomas University School of Law.  Karen runs her own law practice and is also a registered mediator, arbitrator and Guardian ad-Litem.   She also finds time to serve on the board of two non-profits, volunteer at her church's food pantry, serve in various committees in her sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc and volunteer with several community organizations.

Originally from Detroit, Cat calls Georgia her home.  She is a mother, veteran, entrepreneur, and an activist.  As a Board Member of two nonprofits, she routinely volunteers with community focused organizations serving seniors and youth programs, survivors of human trafficking and sexual trauma, combating food insecurities and homelessness, and supporting our brave veterans.  Cat proudly earned her Associates Degree in Banking and Finance from Gwinnett Technical College and her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from Georgia State University.
