Deidre J. (Edwards)Crowley is a modern-day renaissance woman. This Jamaican native has continued to find ways to combine medicine and education to improve the quality of life for others. Teaching in underserved communities was the catalyst for her becoming a community volunteer and advocate. Whether it is volunteering at a battered women’s shelter, feeding the homeless or teaching the next generation of nursing students, she is involved. Deidre intentionally seeks opportunities to help others live their best lives with a purpose, changing generational traits, cultural differences when needed and respecting one’s norms and beliefs. Deidre works with Hebron Christian Academy ongoing to enhance learning in GA and entered the Reading Bowl just recently and won second and third place against all private schools who entered taking trophies and medals home. The medals were just the physical attributes, but the memories, confidence, readers, and respected young ladies and young men groomed as future leader were the trophies awarded on that day.
