Mohamed Berte, graduating senior from Shiloh High School and incoming University of Pennsylvania student. Mohamed discusses what it takes to lead with purpose as a young changemaker. Mohamed held various leadership roles on campus and founded the Shiloh Student Athlete Association.
He opens up about balancing academic excellence (holding a 4.54 GPA and ranking #3 in a class of 420+, being a four-year varsity athlete despite undergoing two major knee surgeries, and managing a successful service business. His awards, including Georgia Positive Athlete of the Year and Gifted Student of the Year, reflect resilience and vision.

Youth Community Leader
Mohamed Berte is an ambitious student leader and entrepreneur with a passion for community impact and future aspirations in corporate law. A graduating senior at Shiloh High School, Mohamed has made a lasting mark through leadership roles in DECA as Vice President of Leadership and as a member of the Gwinnett Student Leadership Team.
As the founder of the Shiloh Student Athlete Association (SSAA), Mohamed has worked to shift the athletic culture at their Title I school by educating student-athletes on the importance of academics and career planning beyond sports. Through SSAA, they’ve led several community initiatives, including community clean up projects and donation projects aimed at supporting underserved communities.
A driven entrepreneur, Mohamed also runs a successful service business offering power washing, car detailing, and more, balancing this with involvement in student activities and volunteerism. He’s organized major school events, like class basketball games and senior Six Flags trips, further demonstrating strong organizational and leadership skills.
