Registered Nurse

Teshara E. Felder-Livingston
RN, MPH, BSN

Nursing is my second career. Prior to becoming a RN I served for 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a Public Health Officer, which is apart of the U.S. Navy Commissioned Officers Medical Service Corps, achieving the rank of LCDR. I am an OEF/OIF veteran, serving 3 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan as medical support alongside our U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army service members.
I separated from the U.S. Navy in 2014 to work on starting a family. However, in 2009, during my time in the Navy, I started my journey into nursing by completing pre-requisite college courses.
Graduated with my Bachelor’s Science in Nursing May 2017. I attended Avila University School of Nursing located in Kansas City, MO. I was hired as a nurse resident with the Atlanta VA Healthcare System as a Registered Nurse in 2017. I made the move here to Atlanta at and I have worked as a Registered Nurse with the Atlanta VA for 6yrs now.
I’m married to my wonderful husband Darlon whom I met more than 20 years ago in Jamaica, and we have a 7yr-old son, Lennix.
